Christopher Raeburn's React Now Collection Brings a Fresh Perspective to The SS19 Season

Hosted at the BFC showspace on 10th of June 2018, Christopher Raeburn presented his latest React Now collection during London Fashion Week. And as this title might already reveal, the designer was asking us to react now, to consider reality for a moment, but not only for the upcoming Spring-Summer 2019 season.

Raeburn sees, that in times of political, social and environmental uncertainty, we can’t keep working in the same old ways. To him and according to the show notes it is in the zeitgeist that we must make changes to avoid a dystopian future. However, this collection is his reaction to reality based on the key essential; protection.
Raeburn offered innovative designs and sustainable clothing, all intelligently remade to meet todays high demands concerning weather changes and consumption.

Lightweight, transparent rain coats were worn with parachute pieces made to perfect the layering look. The collection also unveiled pieces that were remade from original 1980s classic Timberland outerwear, sourced in flea markets and vintage shops including a parka, a reversible anorak, joggers and a reversible hoodie using recycled PET and organic cotton.

Raeburn embraces sustainable fashion and once again delivered a strong message that not only influencing people from his front row such as Johannes Huebl and co will surely support spreading.
