Etro Celebrates 50 Years of Visionary Style With Its “Generation Paisley” Exhibition

Etro Celebrates 50 Years of Visionary Style With Its “Generation Paisley” Exhibition
From the 23rd of September to the 14th of October, the Museum of Cultures in Milan will display Etros “Generation Paisley” exhibition curated by the brands clan and in close partnership with Judith Clark of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

The visitor starts in a room dominated by the Tree of Life, a large sculpture showcasing signature fabrics used in outfits by former clients such as Oscar de la Renta and Kenzo as well as Walter Albini, Valentino, Pino Lancetti, and Emanuel Ungaro. The rest of the exhibition displays rooms, dedicated to Etros campaigns and signature collections up to the most recent one, whereby many of the items on display belong to the personal collections of members of the houses family.

As the eye wanders, the visitor will see:
„Walls covered in fabrics, paintings, mirror reflections that multiply and amplify, digital and three-dimensional effects, the visitor will be immersed in an atmosphere that is estranging and familiar at the same time.“
After all, the exhibition is a precious insight into Etro's textile adventures.
