FRENKEN: The Young Dutch Label

Erik Frenken is the fashionable brain behind FRENKEN. He launched FRENKEN 2017 after having graduated from the fashion school itself – the Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London.

Erik works from his base in The Hague after looking back of almost ten years on living and working in the fashion world.

The current collection of FRENKEN is minimalistic and playful. The designs are floating fabrics in colours like white, yellow, grey, blue or pink. Some designs are striped whereas some are just plain one colour. The garments are mainly oversized and some have ruffles or bows incorporated. Easy and casual looks, which still make an impression due to the fact that they just look very high quality and elegant.

Erik Frenken is giving us some serious, sophisticated girlboss vibes, the designs are menswear inspired but have a feminine touch. Little details like a bow on the sleeve of an oversized trenchcoat or tomato red business pants will give you that catwalk moment once entering the office. Another USP of FRENKEN is the fact that most of the pictures of the garments are taken from the back of the clothing. That gives the clothes and lookbook a touch of art.
