Henrik Vibskov Menswear FW18

Henrik Vibskov is not only a Fashion Designer but moreover a visual artist. His Fall/Winter 2018 menswear line is inspired by the art piece „The Man Who Measures the Clouds“ by Jan Fabre and reflects the theme of measuring something unmeasurable.

Vibskov sent out ensembles with fun patches, tape measures woven into the garments and prints of measuring working people, almost obsessed by analyzing their surroundings. He seemingly wanted to be able to stop this kind of control for his Fall/Winter season and presented a collection where we saw oversized ribbing on knitwear, obviously coming from his very own measuring system.
Primary colours set the tone and well-known pieces from former collections were sewn together in new dimensions whereas other pieces came in new measurements altogether.

The Danish designer's conceptual approach to fashion has always been his identity and this season it is his „visualization on how people become the machine controlled by measurements.“
