Marrakech and the Musée Yves Saint Laurent

Marrakech is maybe one of the most photogenic places at the moment – bloggers and photographers travel to Morocco to shoot campaigns and enjoy the vibrant city vibes.

Yves Sain Laurent discovered his Marrakech in 1966 and ever since the city remained essential to his inspiration and work. His influence can be found in Jardin Majorelle and the newly opened Musée Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech. Both places attract fashion and art lovers and appeal audiences from all over the world.

The museum and architectural masterpiece was designed by Studio Ko and is dedicated to the work of the legendary French fashion designer. The museum showcases an impressive collection of clothing, haute couture accessories, sketches and assorted objects.

Pierre Bergé, president of the Foundation Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent thinks it was only natural to open a museum dedicated to the French designer, because he loved Marrakech so much and used to live here, too.

So Marrakech got a new attraction and fashionistas yet another reason to make their way into the dessert. Marrakech is always worth a trip and always a good idea.
