Y/PROJECT at Pitti Uomo 95

Creative Director Glenn Martens unveiled the Y/PROJECT AW19 MENSWEAR collection in Florence on January 9th at Pitti Uomo.

This time the collections core concept is about twisting gender stereotypes. To make it more clear the menswear collection is expanding towards new territories and for the first time the brand showed its own footwear and bags. Of course, all made in Italy.

Marten was able to transport the guests out of time and space - an amazing show with darkness and flashlights and a surreal mood. Always on the theme of deconstruction-reconstruction.

What we saw: classic argyle sweaters wrapped in prints and tulle, black nylon bags with brown leather frames, ankle or thigh-high shoes in baby blue or sand suede, metallic and so on.

The Paris-based label really took the opportunity of being this season’s Pitti Uomo Special Guest and celebrated accordingly the higher level of sophistication.
