Modern Gentleman. Men Are Discovering Fashion

Modern Gentleman. Men Are Discovering Fashion

Menswear is getting bigger and bigger each year with more and more men discovering their fashion side. The modern gentleman gets into the game everyday. He always thinks outside the box, creates his own style, and is looking for the finest qualities in each detail. He is iconic, ageless, easy-going, and cool.

Fashion icons of menswear as Pharrell Williams, David Beckham, Tinie Tempah, Idris Elba, David Gandy, and Jamie Redknapp all paved the way for men being more sensitive about fashion and being able to show it. What is sexier than a guy who knows how to dress well and still is a man?!

And now what to wear in 2017 – the best men’s looks of London Fashion Week:

Statement coats
Classic style will be recurring throughout menswear. The most popular statement coats are camel coats, black peacoats, and patterned double-breasted coats.

Jackets are a modern and easy alternative to coats. Bomber jackets, borg collar jackets, and puffa jackets will do quite well this season.

Smart suits
The smart 3-piece suit has been undergoing a style renovation lately, but is definitely the look for winners. Classic blue or double-breasted waistcoats or patterned suits will be mostly seen this season. Go for those smart suits if you are looking to make a bold statement.

Wide trousers
This season the wide trousers for men made their appearance and we love it. Big designers introduced them into their fashion lines and we can only welcome that.

Well men, women are already wearing lots of colours, but you are staying with your navy blue, black, and grey. Time to make a bright statement and wear yellow, green, and orange. Or even graphic hoodies, knits, or collared jackets. Maybe the colour of the season – purple.

Colour block patchwork
Colour blocking is already ruling the women runway and now moving on to menswear as well. Patchwork colour blocking is your trend, guys.

Hoodies and tracksuits
Well men, we know you love wearing those comfy hoodies and this season hoodies with brighter hues are totally fine. In combination with track tops they are the best base under a coat or a blazer.

Camouflage has been around a while and will stay a while more. This season camouflage can be found on t-shirts, baseball caps, coats, blazers, and ties.

Roll neck
A roll neck is filling the gap between smart and casual. A huge street style trend in London currently and easy to wear. It looks great with jeans or under a blazer.
